The ’71 Ford pickup tailgate is installed parked in Braeden’s bedroom!
–he tells me he’s more of a Chevy-guy.
We found we had to make some additional modifications while trying to install the bed—112 yr old house, remember. It has some quirks to deal with. But it’s in.
We still have a few adjustments to make. Namely, when I was designing this bed, I thought he had a mattress and bunk-board. Turns out he had an actual box-spring, so the bed sits too high in the frame. He may be swapping box-spring for bunk-board with an older cousin.
I’ll add a pair of vintage car side mirrors I found at Sunday’s flea market, and, I think this ride might need a license plate!
I’ll have more to share very soon!
You can also see that his “worldly” lighting is up too!
And THANKFULLY—he likes his new room! Woo hoo!

I’m sharing this project with these really great linky parties!
Jennifer Rizzo’s Fabulously Creative Friday!
You are amazing! Love the headboard, can’t imagine how you installed/ parked it! Mirrors and a license plate sound like just the thing. As if it wasn’t already the thing!
