I don’t know what was wrong with me yesterday—I just couldn’t get in gear! EVerything I did seem to be pUtzy-slow–?? InCLUDing writing a post about building the rough frame, AnD, reTURNing to work on it for the 2nd day~oH, wEll.
When I DiD FINally get started for the day, it was on a fUn task! I needed to cut 30° angles on the side and roof panels for the strongest joinery of the parts. I tipped the table saw blade, and created a longer sled to support the boards. (*rubbing soap on the sled and table saw make all the parts slide easier)
I also pulled out the five leftover 2′ x 2′ ceiling tin tiles from the guest bathroom—they’ll shingle the china cabinet roof to keep it water tight.
And, you can see that I started figuring out the interior shelving—
Besides shelves, I’ll create “hanging wine glasses,” and a plate rail in the bottom section. It will DEFinitely be ORganized storage!
As ANXious as I am to finish the cabinet and get crackin’ on the doors today— the “hate fence” is going up today. An absoLUTE priority.
So I am detoured once again. Arrrgh.
