Channeling my favorite cohort Karen,
I snagged this from a curb last spring.
Initially, my interest was limited to pilfering the legs for a future project, but, y’know~ other than being pretty dirty–it’s in really good condition! ~Huh. . .
So I cut up a very old “distressed” quilt, and sewed a slip cover for it! (I used the back side of the quilt for welting.)
It’s now in my store space for sale~
~I sewed an extra panel in the underside top (think pillow) and stuffed it for an extra soft seat!
~And, I secured it with those little corkscrew upholstery tacks, so it can be taken off for easy laundering or another cover!
~Hmmmm, maybe I should paint those legs-
Next, I began working on a pair of these chairs for my niece~ $20 $10 each!
~look for this one tomorrow~I wanna keep ‘em. . .uh,oh.

I’m sharing this project with these linky parties!

you are so creative!!
Love the quilt slip cover!
I’m a new follower and am enjoying your projects and posts! I think you should paint those legs on the bench/stool white or cream for sure! Or maybe even a soft blue!
What can’t you do? You are so talented!
You’re sweet~but I have my limitations too! : D
I didn’t expect to love this when I saw the link… but it’s just too darn cute! I have some old quilts somewhere….
Thanks for the shout out! You are way more talented than I am! That stool looks so cool with the quilt as a slip cover!
Just happened onto your site via Pinterest and love everything! And, I must admit that the first thing I thought when I saw the stool was, “Love what she did with the quilt, but I would paint the legs with Old White chalk paint.” Actually, I would make my own chalk paint because cheap is how I roll. Do you? I’m going to “follow” and then I’ll know. Looking forward…
